ff14gilhub:Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.2 - Mentor System
Some big changes are comingd to Square Enix’s MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, this month. The game will see the release of Patch 3.2, aptly dubbed The Gears of Change.
The new patch will see the addition of a new Mentor System that allows high level characters to mentor characters at a lower level. Here’s how that works:
First, players will need to have earned certain achievements as prerequisites–one for the Disciples of War and Magic, and one for Disciples of the Hand and Land. After earning either achievement set, players can speak to a Smith to become a mentor.
Once they become mentors, they will gain access to the Novice Network, a chatroom where new adventurers can seek the support of veterans. Any player with less than 40 hours of play is tagged as a New Adventurer. Mentors will also gain access to Duty Roulette: Mentor, which assigns players to duties that are strugglking to fill party member slots. Once doing this a number of times, Mentors will earn special achievement rewards.
Additionally, players will be able to train themselves on different party roles in the Hall of the Novice. In the Hall of the Novice, players will be able to undertake a number of different training exercises related to the role of their current class or job. Upon completion, they will receive a reward.
Also being added is the new Alexander: Midas raid, a dungeon called the Antitower, and the Lost City of Amdapor (Hard).
The developer showcased the changes that are being added in the patch in a newly released video, which you can see below.
