Final Fantasy XIV:More Flexibility in Glamour please
I still don't get the decisions they make in glamour sometimes. Personally it's quite frustrating, and there's very little logic to it. At the least, they could be more flexible. Especially with the new gear and the available styles. so This is a request for changes to the glamour system.
So many of the new styles from 50-60 are class locked. There is really no reason to lock these for glamours. I can understand locking the real gear by class...but c'mon...really? i can't use the glamour for a shirt of striking on my Ninja? I can't use the skin for the tanking piece on my Dragoon? many of these need to be opened up...if its locked based on anything, it should be general categories. so a "cloth" piece can't look like a suit of armor, and a piece of leather can't look like a dress. not that I even agree with that, but it would at least follow logic.
That's the other thing that bugs me. I can't make my adamantite chain hose of maiming (Dragoon) look like my Warriors Dhalmeskin breeches of fending...but i can make them look like a teeny skin tight skirt? (a.k.a Linen bottom). I could understand if there was an issue with them wanting people to not confuse classes...but really? i can make every single one of my classes look like a casino girl with bunny ears...but that really cool looking plate item I can't use because it's locked for WAR Paladin GRD? no logic.
On another note, the level requirements are bust now. so i have to wait to 50 to use glamour....even though 50 isn't the level cap. I know, it used to be. But my point is that the level threshold was a bit silly in the first place. it should have unlocked at lvl 20-30 at least. And then the only limitations is the gear levels. can't make a lvl 25 chest piece look like a lvl 50 or lvl 60 (even though I could care less about that limitation too)
So here's how it should really go:
1) unlock Glamour at 30. make it some silly quest in the Main Scenario Quest, just like they've done with literally everything else in the game. or just have it as a side quest in waking sands or something.
2) No gear limitations based on class. if we can make our plate armor look like a courtesan's skirt, we should be able to make it look like mail armor, or a cloth robe...
3) change the recipes from master (since they're hardly master any more), and put them in the standard crafting lists at the appropriate levels (a.k.a reflect the level of the items you glamour). Adjust the materials to suit the level of the glamour crystal as well, since many of them use higher tier materials even for the lower tier glamours.
4) this is a side request, but I think the tier of glamour you need to use is a bit off key. from level one up through the 40's, you only need grade 1 (not exactly sure where the threshold is). I've rarely used above a grade 3, yet we get up through grade 5. stage them a bit better. not a critical issue, but defeinitely falls into the fine tuning category.

Combat class unlocks useful to gathering - FFXIV Crafting
Gathering and crafting might get you more final fantasy xiv gil faster, but they add the extra effort of leveling the gathering/crafting classes.

Make some job or class for FFXIV
Ever see the job introductions on the FFXIV Armoury site and notice that a good portion of them start with some sort of location like Ul'dah for Paladin or Ishgard for Dragoon?

Since everyone could equip the FFXIV items and be fully immune to every status
Status effects like paralysis are harmful to melee FFXIV DPS or FFXIV Tanks, but it hits frequently enough that we casters can barely get a single charge cast spell off without it interrupting

The second experience in question consisted of an incident back when I tanked the Lost City of Amdapor (this was back when this was very new content)

Whenever a new submenu item is added, it gets added to the top of the submenu. Great if you're going by the "We want people to notice and use their new menu options" theory
