I have come up with an idea for making the glamour FFXIV system even better
Hello, I have come up with an idea for making the glamour system even better, I believe it would also reduce the amount of database needs for this system. I cannot give myself all the credit for this idea, since some other games use similar systems, like Guildwars 2.
*This system consist in making a new section/menu for Glamour and patterns, this menu will have a list of every single item in the game showing as their icon image (greyed out) until the pattern is acquired (bright colors icon).
*A tooltip will show once a item pattern is selected/mouse over it, showing information about the item, like ilevel, FFXIV Gil,class restrictions, glamour prism needed.
*In the menu there will be a character preview model, showing your character (like the "Try on" model, but allowing you to preview multiple parts), where you can select patterns (acquired or not) from the list and they will display on the model. This will allow people from creating looks before deciding if they want to farm or buy said item, some special items can be kept as a secret showing as a ? icon on the list, like relics weapons, that way people cant see how they look before acquiring the item.
*The list of items can be organized by the user by selecting rarity of the item, ilevel, name.
*The patterns list will consist of different item categories, selected in a drag down menu or by clicking the character model section, for example: boots area will open the feet patterns list, while the weapon will list all the weapons acquired.
*Patterns will be added to said menu by either right clicking the item and selecting "create pattern" which will destroy the item (confirmation box needed, to avoid misclicks and destroying items by mistake), or in rare ocassions where the item is needed for quest progression (like relics and artifact gear) make it so these items are added to the list once worn/acquired.
*At the bottom of the menu, there will be a text showing what prism are required to create the glamour being displayed on the character model, listing every single prism type/grade, and in red font showing the name of the missing patterns, in case the player selected items they haven't acquired yet or in case the ilevel or class isn't adequate for the base item.
*A check box will allow the user to only show acquired patterns, making invisible all the greyed out/missing patterns from the lists.
*By making this system, items random stats information wouldn't need to be stored with the pattern, the only information being saved with the pattern would be the item ilevel (to keep the use for the prisms grades, and ilevel restrictions being used now), class restrictions, prims needed to glamour it and the item skin/look. In other words, it should reduce the load of information being saved in the database.
Pros:
*Less information being saved in the database for each item
*Less space needed to store all this items (retainers, armoire, inventory, etc)
*More organized system, no more ffxiv items being forgotten in retainers or deleted/sold by mistake
*Glamour prisms will still be needed to use the patters, the ilevel and class/crafting restrictions will be saved in each pattern as well
Cons:
*The items will disappear once a pattern is created. Players wanting to use that item as gear for another class, will have to get the item again
*Some items will have a unique ways of creating their patterns, so the item isnt destroyed in the process, relic weapons and similar items that can be upgraded through a quest
Extra additions or changes to this system:
*Addition of the dye system to it, allowing the player to preview gear and also dye any dyable item on the character model, displaying all the dyes needed on the bottom text box.
*A way to simplify the pattern creation system, is to make it where everytime a item is bound to the character, the pattern gets added to the list. This means, the person will still keep a copy of the item and they can decide if they want to NPC the item for some gil, turn it in for GC seals, or upgrade it through quests/npcs (coil upgradable gear, relics, etc). In other words, there wouldn't be a "create pattern" option and players could keep the items if they have plans to use them in the future.

Final Fantasy XIV Free Companys themselves are the leader's property
She took away privileges of higher ranking Free Company members simply as a show of power, and she took the Free Company ffxiv gil for herself right before new housing came out (70+ mil)

Extremely Frustrated, come on SE
And to anyone reading this who's only response is 'change servers', I'm not throwing away my hard-earned ffxiv gil due to low ffxiv gil caps during server transfers, or leaving my friends behind just because SE can't add fights to DF in a timely fashion. That would make me quit this game even faster.

Housing issues and solutions in ffxiv 3.3 patch
FC housing should always have remain separate from private housing. Especially when you lock actual FC functionality (as the workshop) behind ownership of the house.
