If I made Final Fantasy XIV Astrologian
I saw a bunch of people saying how they would tweak astrologian and some great ways of doing it are already there. I figured I would post my idea of how I personally would have made AST. This is NOT suggesting to SE to change it this way (but I think it would be nice. Hopefully you all agree) but just tossing some ideas out there to discuss them.
I'm a lvl 60 ast and I am trying to main it. Just like everyone else, I think they dropped the ball on a few things and I hope it gets fixed so the class is more playable in endgame. I would hate to put in this much work into a class for it to die.
1. The card system: Honestly, having it RNG is fine (to an extent) but you gotta give the player a bit more power over them. So, I would change the skills up a bit.
Draw: I would give it a 10 sec recast (when you don't have a card) and no dropping the card at all. You either gotta RR it or Spread it. The reason for this is I've been in plenty of fights where I draw and I have to heal. During my healing, the card drops cause...well, why would I drop a card I draw? That's like playing yugioh or magic and discarding your cards for no reason. Makes zero sense to me. So, you hold onto the card until you either use it, RR, or Spread.
Royal Road: same as what it currently is but up the buffs a bit. Like burning Bole/Balance is +200% instead of 150%. It's a much better buff and gives you a reason to possibly burn that Balance you randomly got before a pull that will wear off if you use it.
Arrow/spear-spread to party with normal effect instead of only 50%. Why spreading it has to be weak? This should be the bread and butter of AST; buffing the entire party in 1 shot. Sucks that it is weak vs a single target. I haven't used this buff in forever because of that.
Ewer/Spire: keep it the same. It's fine.
Spread: here is where things change big for my style of AST. I would have made spread hold 2 cards max. So, potentially, you could have 3 cards in your possession at 1 time. Allowing you to have my power over the cards and buffing the party better in situations that come up. I would also allow royal road to work on cards you have in your spread. (More on how this will work in a sec).
Shuffle: no longer discards a card to get another one. This skill will instead allow you to switch between your Spread cards. So, for example: you have balance and bole on your spread. Using shuffle will swap the spread between the 2. Instant cast and no recast. This allows you to switch between buffs to the ones you need.
Redraw: this should be the lvl 60 skill instead of celestial opposition (garbage). This acts almost exactly like the current shuffle but you DISCARD the current card on your draw skill and you draw a new card. This makes it so you don't get the same card two times in a row. You don't know how many times I've had this happen to me and because of it, all my skills are on CD.
So, to recap on the cards; you would draw, use spread, draw again, use spread, use draw again and you have 3 cards. Draw card is #1, current spread card is #2 and other spread card is #3. Using Shuffle would swap cards 2 and 3. Using Royal Road would burn #1 always unless you DONT have a card being held by the draw skill, instead, RR would burn the card currently sitting on your Spread @ #2. To me, this gives the player more control over the cards and allows them to strategize over how to handle the buffs.
Speaking of buffs. Let's change those too a bit:
Balance - 20% dmg for 15s instead of 10%
Bole - 30% less dmg for 20s instead of 10% for 15s
Arrow- atk speed +15% for 15s instead of 10%
Spear- keep same but let it work on currently recasting abilities
Ewer- reduce mp/to by 20% for 20secs instead of just MP. (This allows it to be spread to entire raid group and actually work for everyone)
Spire- hp+10% or boost accuracy or boost parry. Something. Anything would be better.
I would also increase all of the cure potencies by a LITTLE bit. I mean...I have 13k mp and I still burn through it so quick cause my heals are just not up to par. It doesn't need to be WHM at all but at least let me be able to heal just as well as a SCH+pet with the nocturnal sect doing just shy of what Adlo can do. Balance that out cause right now, it's just not cutting it.
Anyway, feel free to let me know what you think. I really do feel like if the class was like this, it would have a solid place in raid groups but not be so overpowered that it replaces SCH.
Discussion 'Personal Apartments' - In Patch 3.3 FFXIV Player Homeless
The only possible way an apartment would be suitably grandiose enough to match up with the narrative of the Warrior of Light is if we were literally living within places like Ul'dah's Royal Palace.
Only needs the drop rates in the 16 dungeons increased for the FFXIV 3.0 patch
This means that the quest is quite literally already ready to go, and only needs the drop rates in the 16 dungeons increased for the ffxiv 3.0 patch.
Thank you delightful FFXIV team
Thank you delightful FFXIV team.I would rather you increase the Quality of my current Egi instead of just needlessly increasing the Quantity. They will hopefully be more interesting to use
Lets discuss Final Fantasy XIV NMs again
The system for NMs should be something like a Mix of what XI had plus some features for FFXIV.
Can I get advice on FINAL FANTASY XIV
I'm not a PvP healer in this game, so feel free to take my advice with a grain of salt... but I have PvP healed in other games, so hopefully some of my advice can help.
