Improve healing throughput as necessary
While it does sound like this was a case of bad tank, there are things you can do to improve healing throughput as necessary.
Adlo when the tank doesn't have a galvanize buff is more healing/time than physick (600 potency vs 400). (crit adlo is 900 total effective potency)
If the previous galvanize is still on the tank, then you risk not getting the full benefit from adlo. Alternating between the two isn't a bad compromise, especially because adlo has a slightly longer cooldown than its cast time.
Adlo is also mana inefficient. To compensate for this, make sure you're using you're using Aetherflow every minute, on cooldown. (there are times and places to save it, but when learning scholar, get into the habit of using it every time you can. If its off cooldown, burn your aetherflow stacks and pop it). Scholars have a ridiculous amount of mp to work with, but also have inefficient healing to match.
Don't be afraid to use your aetherflow, it comes back every minute. Its not uncommon for me to use Adlo+lustrate together, when a tank is taking high damage.
If you run out of aetherflow and the tank is still getting wrecked, make sure to pop off Eos' healing buffs (Illumination first, be in range for the tank to get the healing buff), and rouse+whispering dawn, even if you just use it for the regen on the tank, is still worth using. At this point, if your aetherflow is still going to be a while, and you need more healing than you can do with adlo+physick, use dissipation (eat the fairy, her cooldowns are spent anyway). This gives you more aetherflow, and 30s of 20% more healing. Between 20% bonus healing for illumination, the regen, and 20% more healing from you, sch can single-target heal significantly higher than normal conditions. You cannot sustain this for too long, but it should last for the immediate crisis.
Healing bonuses, like Defiance, Convalescence, Mantra, Fey Illumination, Dissipation, are all multiplicative. That is, they are more effective together than they are individually. With all 5, my 5k crit adloquium turns into a ~12.5k crit adlo (1.2^5 = 2.49). That makes these really strong cooldowns, but you shouldn't need this for simple dungeon pulls. Still, being able to meet and surpass the healing needed to keep even bad tanks alive, is the difference between a good vs amazing scholar, so its good to know how to respond in an emergency.
Get very comfortable with using all the mitigation cooldowns (Fey Covenant, Sacred Soil, Virus, Eye for an Eye, even Shadow Flare helps a little vs most mobs), sch is different from other healers is that we use our cooldowns to help mitigate damage to reduce the required healing.

I remember overhearing that Square wanted to 'fix' that and introduce some people beyond the padjal who also know the secrets of Final Fantasy XIV Gil White magic
Hunted mats need rebalancing compared to mined/harvested mats in recipes
HOWEVER, the time/effort it takes to gather 3 skins for one leather is way out of proportion compared to gathering 5 sands/logs for one intermediate mat for those classes

They had been friends for years. They loved each other, he cared for her as a friend and she worshiped the ground he walked in. They were not meant to be more though
ff14gilhub:I think game parser should be added to FFXIV
Let me start off by saying that all adding an official parser would do is put console players on more equal footing with PC players, most of whom are already parsing.
